The Menorah hotel Jerusalem was located on Jaffa
Road, directly opposite the Southern end of Ben Yehuda Street. It was a
clean, simple and highly central hotel. Sadly, during the difficult
years of tourism in Israel, the hotel was forced to close its doors. The
hotel's location was one of its main selling points - within such easy
walking distance of the Old City of Jerusalem, and yet located in the
heart of the New City. Today, the city's new tram lines will pass
directly in front of the hotel's old doors. For those that wish to
remain in the absolute center of town, Jerusalem
hotels guide offers excellent rates at some of the hotels
nearby. In this budget range, we recommend the Jerusalem Tower hotel or
the Kikar Zion hotel. For a slightly better hotel, the brand new Harmony
hotel is highly recommended, and is in the heart of the Nahalat Shiva
Street. A little further away, Little House in Rehavia ( Glatt kosher
) is also an
excellent alternative for those on a tight budget. |
"Welcome
to our intimate hotel in Jerusalem. We will do our very best to make you
feel comfortable and at home. Our hotel was fully renovated and
reopened in the summer of 1999. We look forward to being given the
opportunity to show you the hospitality and warmth to which our guests
have become accustomed."
